Well-known and not so well-known traditional recipes from all over the country and compiled into a booklet under the heading “Voortrekker” Resepte”. Each page has a small vignette drawing in blue ink depicting Voortrekker life, eg. sitting around a fire, travelling with ox-wagon, hunting, playing musical instruments as well as a modern-day woman utilising Pennant paraffin.
