In this series of papers originally published in The Journal of South African Botany, the author examines the traveller William Burchell as a botanist. The fifth volume is a closer examination of Burchell’s map, originally published 1822 with the 2 volumes of his travels. 3 of the 5 are signed by the author and enclosed is correspondence with the South African Naturalist and Cultural Historian Dr. Muir. Staple bound volumes with a little rust to the staples. Some creasing to the wraps of the first volume. Condition: Very good. Binding: Card wraps.
