Delightful illustrations each accompanied with a famous quote from Shakespeare’s plays. The author and illustrator, Kathleen Ainslie, was active in the years 1900-1911. She is best-known for her series of children’s books based on jointed Dutch peg dolls which were popular during the 19th and early-20th centuries.

Condition: Fair to poor. The illustrations have imprinted onto opposite page. Centre-fold illustration has a small area of loss to lower edge. Pages were stuck together causing the illustrations to peel off in places with the centre-fold page having the most damage.
Binding: Softcover. Good to fair condition. Firm card wraps with insect damage to front cover. Bound with green silk cord. Some light foxing.
