Written from his own diary and his father’s, the Rev J J Doke, Clement Doke portrays a fascinating picture of the life of tribes in the Lambaland in the North-west corner of Zambia (formerly known as Northern Rhodesia) as well as the wild life of the country. The book recounts the trials and successes of seven years of missionary life, providing glimpses into everyday life at Kafulafuta Mission in the second decade of this century.
