250 fine hand coloured botanical plates. A minimal amount of foxing, mostly to the prelims. Tissue guard to each plate except in volume 5 where 4 plates lack the flimsy. Each volume inscribed, “Mary Austen Mausford from her affectionate Father 1840” on the prelim. Volume 5 with a 3cm short tear to the prelim and one plate in volume 4 inverted. An excellent set with bright clear plates. Green silk markers intact. Tartan endpapers, a.e.g. 1st Edition. Condition: Very good. Binding: Hardcover. Half green morocco with marbled boards and a gilt decorated leather label to front board of each volume. Some light wear and rubbing to the bindings.
