Two pieces of sheet music written by Schumann a Boer prisoner of war on St. Helena Island. The Boer Prisoner’s Prayer was written on board the S.S. “Lake Erie” on her voyage from Cape Town to St. Helena with Prisoners of War. The music was composed by Schumann and the words by Lieut. A. L. Harrington of the Cape Garrison Artillery. An unusual colaboration between a prisoner and his jailor.
