The principle objective of this work was to frame as complete a list as possible of the earlier Colonists and their birthplaces. Through these 5 volumes this alphabetical list runs from 1715 to 1806 including an Index. Vols 1 – 4: Requesten (Memorials); Vol 5: Index. Ex Libris stamps on the front fixed end paper of all volumes. Vol 1 and 2 are 1st editions. Some toning to feps of Vols 1 and 2. Volumes 3,4,5 are reprints published by the South African Library in 1988. In very good condition. Condition: Very good. Hardcover. 2 volumes in cloth binding with edgeweath to extremities and some mild soiling to the boards. 3 reprint volumes in faux leather in very good condition.
