An album with Carte d’ Visite photographs mainly from the Worcester, Paarl and Platteland areas. Some of the photographs related to students at the Worcester School for the Blind. Written on the back of one photograph is “A Klopper, De Wet Siding.” Some of the interior boards are decorated with a floral background. There is foxing to the boards but the photographs are clean. Some of the delicate frames around the photographs are torn. Patterned end papers with a gilt border pattern around the edges. The front cover board is beautifully decorated with a gilt floral device. Heavy item. Condition: Poor to fair. Binding: Hardcover. The condition of the spine is poor – lacks 5cm of the top edge. The front board is split along the spine and roughly sewn together. Edge-wear. Lacks the brass clasp.
