Appears to be a personalised Minute Book intended for the ‘Dingaansdag Program, 16 Desember 1948’. Marbled end papers. 354 numbered pages of ruled paper. 12 pages of A-Z. Typed page of the programme pasted on the front paste-down. Typed page with “Bestuurslede met Inwyding van Feessaal – 16 Des. 1949′ pasted on second page. (Translation: ‘Board members with inauguration of festival hall’). On Page 1 appears the handwritten lettering “Coalbrook Dingaansfees, 16 Des. 1948”. On Page 2 appears the lettering “Gedenkboek” with a small illustration of a monument.” Pages 4 – 13 have been removed. Pages 14 – 20 have a vertical line drawn down the middle of each page. Remainder of the pages are clean. On the last free end page the words “Geskenk deur: J J Brits” appear on the lower RG corner. Beautiful coloured pattern of red, orange and blue to all page edges.
