Loreto Convent, Sea Point – None identified

The Loreto Convent at Sea Point was a particularly good example of Italian Renaissance style in architecture, in the Florentine tradition. Gained the Cape Provincial Institute’s Bronze Award for Building of the Year in 1934. Demolished in the 1980s. 6 x 23×15.5cm black and white photographs. Marbled end papers with menders tape reinforcing the gutter at the front and rear. Some handling marks to front fep.
