This edition was printed with a photo-lithographic process and incorporates two of the three famous dung-beetle errors. On pages 337 and 457. The illustration on page 65 has been corrected and the dung-beetle is pushing his trophy with his rear legs. The illustration of Snowball the horse being dragged up an impossibly steep river bank has also been repeated on page 316. Thus this is an unusual edition incorporating the famous illustrations that appeared only in the first few editions and were later corrected. Bound in green cloth covered boards with gilt titles to the spine. A bump to the bottom corner of the front board. Gift inscription to the fep. Reprint. Condition: Very good. Binding: Hardcover.
