Assisted by Major-General Sir Henry Rawlinson and Sir J G Wilkinson. With maps and illustrations. Gilt decorated spines and covers with the title and author in red and green panel respectively on the spine. Bright clear red tint to all edges. All volumes have some light scattered foxing in areas with heavy foxing to the prelims and some of the fold-out maps/illustrations. Boards and spines show signs of abrasions and rubbing with splitting to the spine edges.
