1. A two page letter on one sheet. Dated *.8.1964. Handwritten in black ink on Irma Stern’s personalised stationary. Irma writes to her friend Marianne Brandt. A German painter, sculptor, photographer, metalsmith and designer who studied at the Bauhaus art school and later became head of the Bauhaus Metall-Werkstatt (Metal Workshop). Text in German. 2. A four page letter in German, to Marianne Brandt. Hand written in blue ink on two sheets of Irma’s personalised stationary. This letter is dated *.6.1959. 3. A two page letter on one sheet of paper from Hotel Carlton, Alicante. Dated Feb 2.1963. Included is the original envelope from Hotel Carlton, addressed to Marianne Brandt. The stamp has been removed. 4. A four page page letter in black ink. Written on two sheets fro the Hotel Carlton in Alicante. Dated Jan.16 1963. Text in German. The matters discussed in the letters are mostly of a friendly nature, Irma mentions her ill health and work. In addition to the four letters are the following: African and Christian Sculpture from the Irma Stern Collection.
