Volumes 6 and 7 of the Memorial edition. Edited by Burton’s wife, Isobel, some sections were “sanitized”. Bound in black silk with gilt titles to the spine and decorations to the front and rear boards. Name of Dorothy Cooksey Marcus Sept. 18th 1909 to the half title of each volume. The New York Times of 19 August 1915 notes that she had recently left her American husband and two children, returning to England. Stating that she preferred the company of her horses and dogs.
