The information was obtained by means of questionaires sent out to magistrates, postmasters and postal agents in areas where the effect of the various earthquakes were expected to have made themselves felt.” Some of the earthquakes investigated were in Zululand, Bethlehem, Tzaneen, Namaqualand, Prieska, et al.
