Three volumes, full calf with re-backed spines. All plates and maps as called for are present. Volume I, portrait, 1 plate in text and 22 full page plates (1 folding) and 19 maps (2 not folding). Volume II, 25 plates (4 folding), 21 folding maps and a folding table “Pedigree of Oliver Cromwell”. Volume III, 48 plates (3 folding) and one in text, 17 maps (3 not folding). All maps by Cary.
