Inscribed by the author to his sister. Foreword by Lord Ventry. Trained with the Royal Navy in 1915 the author spent long hours on escort duty flying the Submarine Searcher class, or blimps as they were called, over the the slow convoys in the Atlantic. He maintained this unflagging interest in airships and in 1973 was granted honorary life membership of the Lighter-than-air Society of America.
