Frontis plus 121 engraved plates from Fontaine’s Fables by J. J. Grandville. The plates appear to have been pasted into this blank book possibly made for this purpose. Each plate titled in French with an English translation written in pencil. Some light foxing and one scar to the edge of the textblock effecting the edge of 10 plated. Bound in half brown leather over red cloth boards. Original spine replaced wit black cloth.
