Scarce. The story of Allen F. Gardiner, a British naval officer and explorer who became a missionary. Whilst endeavouring to establish a Christian mission in Tierra del Fuego, Captain Gardiner and his six companions died of starvation. In December 1836, he and his family departed for the Cape of Good Hope and settled between Port Natal and the Tugela till 1838 whereupon they embarked for South America to further their missionary calling.
