THREE DUTCH SEA-CHARTS  OF THE AFRICAN COAST, PUBLISHED IN 1666

Three rare sea charts by Pieter Goos (1616-1675) from his atlas De Zee-Atlas ofte Water-Wereld

Published in 1666 it is considered one of the best sea atlases of the time. The maps held appeal to both the navigator and merchant ship owner and would have been extensively used during the active period of the Dutch East India Company (V.O.C.) and the Dutch West India Company (W.I.C.). OUR NEW SPACE

After 35 years spent under the same roof, we took on the daunting task of moving our shop into a new building which we own. It was just a move down the road, from number 84 to number 64 Main Road Kalk Bay, but it was nonetheless a massive task. We hope to continue turning up the obscure and the rare, and that you will visit us in our new space.
