Name of C M Doke, African linguist, on front fep. Repairs to front gutter with japanese tissue paper. Illustrated by two maps. Staining and wear to original cloth boards. Spine rebacked with remaining parts of original spine laid over new spine. Pale yellow end papers. 2 folding maps of the relevant parts of Africa by Arrowsmith. First map has a small 2cm tear to one of the folds. 2nd map has some staining.
