Both items are pre 1930's and were certainly in use prior to that. The throwing spear is made from mined, non-industrial metal and is complete with the sinew sheath, indicating a highly sharpened blade. Spears of this kind were also used for sacrificial purposes (killing an ox). Only elders were allowed to participate in this ritual killing. The matching shield is made from Rhinoceros or Giraffe hide. Both items have been professionally maintained in museum quality condition.|~CSV~||~CSV~|6500|~CSV~|Miscellaneous|~CSV~||~CSV~|d|~CSV~|Miscellaneous|~CSV~||~CSV~||~CSV~||~CSV~||~CSV~|Book|~CSV~||~CSV~||~CSV~||~CSV~||~CSV~|N|~CSV~||~CSV~|N|~CSV~||~CSV~||~CSV~|N|~CSV~||~CSV~|
